How TransConnect Protects Operational Data

TransConnect Logistics handles sensitive freight operations data including shipper contact details, order references, pickup and drop-off locations, dispatcher notes, and live vehicle tracking updates. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect that information across our web platform, mobile tools, and support channels.

1. Information We Collect

We collect business and operational information required to execute freight movements safely and efficiently: shipper and carrier account profiles, order metadata, vehicle and driver assignment records, route milestones, POD-related documents, and communication logs used for dispatch and customer support.

2. Why We Process This Data

Data is processed to perform logistics services: load creation, assignment, dispatch coordination, tracking visibility, incident handling, delivery confirmation, reconciliation support, and service-quality analytics. We do not sell customer or driver personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Tracking and Location Data

When live tracking is enabled for an active order, vehicle location is processed to provide shipment visibility to authorized stakeholders. Access to tracking views is controlled by role permissions and order-level access controls.

4. Data Sharing and Processors

We may share limited data with service providers that support platform operations such as cloud infrastructure, messaging providers, mapping services, and translation services. These providers are engaged only to perform contracted logistics platform functions and are expected to apply reasonable safeguards.

5. Retention and Security

We retain records for operational continuity, dispute management, compliance obligations, and audit trails. Retention periods vary by data type and contractual requirements. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and protected through authentication, environment-based secrets, and infrastructure controls.

6. Your Choices and Requests

Account administrators may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible business data. Where deletion cannot be completed immediately due to legal, contractual, tax, or dispute obligations, data may be restricted and removed after those obligations end.
